The Skyline has always been considered as a true Japanese super car ever since the R32 GTR was introduced in the early 1990’s. It is a wake up call to European car makers that the Japanese has finally joins the super car league, which was previously an exclusive club for the Europeans makes and models.
The R34 Skyline could probably be considered as the last Skyline with lineage from the old R32 as it still uses the venerable RB series engine and most importantly, it still uses the Skyline name which for some unknown reason, was dropped for the R35.
