Team City (Penang) Charity Drive
@ St. Joseph Home
A charity drive was recently held by Team City Penang, and this time around their focus was on the St. Joseph Home, Penang. The event saw a total of 25 cars with more than 40 members, gathering as early as 8.30am, all eager to donate their time and money for this worthy cause.
According to one of its member, St. Joseph Home was chosen as it has not received much publicity on its plight for funds for the welfare of the 45 children in their care. With the publicity garnered from this charity drive; Team City Penang has the hope that awareness will be created and the public will donate generously to the home.
By the end of the day, the time and effort put in by the members were well rewarded as they managed to collect a total of RM1,700.00 for the home.
As can be seen, car clubs is not all about TT Sessions, Convoys, etc., but more importantly, helping the less fortunate. As such, we at Extremekars would like to take our hats off to the members of Team City Penang for CARING.
