Interclub Go-Kart Challenge 2007
It’s Hot … It’s Tough … And No Doubt Challenging
Once again we were at Speedway Circuit PLUS for the 2nd round of the IGKC or
Interclub Go-Kart Challenge 2007. Most would know by now that this interclub event, which is held
during the first weekend of each month, is open to all especially car club members and corporate
groups. What better way to spend a weekend than to be able to mingle with other club members while
putting to test your driving or racing skills all at a very affordable price. That’s what IGKC is all
about, besides for the winners there is also a few ‘goodies’ in store! Beside this selected drivers
would also stand a chance to test drive a Super Compact racecar at the Sepang Circuit!
Here’s an update for you guys, according to the event organizer, the IGKC event
will be officially named as the Formula PLUS Interclub Go-Kart Championship.
The second round of IGKC saw the participation of 23 teams with 3 drivers to each
team. Similar to the first round, the race is divided into 2 categories, G1 (expert) and G2 (novice)
while the race covers a sprint and an endurance race. This time around for the G1 category, the
drivers from team Radical I have proven themselves to be the better team followed by team Kei DCOCM
and team Radical II. As for the G2 category, first across the chequered flag was team Shell I.T with
team Elite in second place and team Bank Pembangunan in third. Congrats to all the winners and also
to those who participated in this highly challenging and demanding race event!
