TOYOTA AVANZA CLUB (TAVAC) Charity Drive And Anti Drug Convoy
TAVAC, a club for Toyota Avanza owners was established in the month of May 2005. Recently, they
organized a Charity Drive and Anti Drug Convoy to the East Coast. The event was launch at
Dataran Merdeka by Tuan Azemin, a director of Agensi Anti Dadah Kebangsaan, Kuala Lumpur.
This charity drive was also supported by Biro Membasmi Dadah and UMNO Malaysia.
The 3 days 2 nights trip saw a convoy of 37 Toyota Avanzas’ with a total of 172
members and their families. During the journey the members made a ‘pit stop’ by the Gombak Toll
Plaza to distribute anti drug poster to drivers passing through the toll. After which, upon reaching
Kuantan they met up with Kelab Kereta Kuantan (Triple-K) before checking into Impiana Resort,
Cherating whereby nightfall the club held their Annual Grand Meeting for the 2007/2008 session.
According to their schedule, they visited a village in Batu 4 Binjai, Kemaman on
the second day for their charity drive. Donations and hampers form sponsor (KW, Tom’s Stickers,
ExtremeKars) were presented during the visit. This charity drive was fully supported by Pejabat
Kebajikan Masyarakat, Kemaman.
