Civic ‘Hybrid’

I am a big fan of the Civic ever since the very first day it was launched. Incidentally, I am contemplating in replacing my Honda Accord, which I’ve owned for 5 years. Even before it was officially launched, I’ve read about it in the internet and speculated on its price when it does reach our shores. Must admit that my heart was pumping so fast when I first laid my eyes on it that I thought it would burst out from my chest!

I then tested one at a dealership and almost paid for the down payment. At that time, the local motoring world was abuzz with the rumour of an all new Mitsubishi Lancer, which would be sold at a very competitive price. Compared to the 1.8 liter Civic, the Lancer has a 2 liter engine, tiptronic gear, 18 inch alloys and full bodykit. For the Civic, only the 2 liter version has similar spec, but with a price tag that was higher by an estimated RM12,000 as compared to the new Lancer.
