2nd LINK Autoshow Fiesta 2007


On the 22nd of May 2007, an autoshow officially known as the PLUS 2nd LINK Autoshow Fiesta 2007 was held at the 2nd LINK R&R, Johor Bahru. This event was organized by PLUS, 2nd LINK and Gabungan Kelab Kereta Belia Berkereta Negeri Johor and attended by officials from PLUS, 2nd LINK and YB Aziz Sapian, the State Ministry of Sports & Youth Deputy Director. According to Shahifudin Sulaiman, Chairman of Gabungan Kelab Kereta Belia Berkereta Negeri Johor, the PLUS 2nd LINK Autoshow Fiesta 2007 was aimed at creating a new venue for motoring enthusiasts to show-off and display their creativity. This event can also be seen as a gathering venue for motoring clubs from all over the state. “I would say that this event is a success and there are plans in turning it into an annual event,” he added. Apart from the autoshow, visitors were also able to try out their karting skills at the temporary go-kart circuit set-up by Kartquest.

    Extremekars, as the appointed official magazine for this show was present to witness the overwhelming spectators and participants turnout. It was indeed a huge show with more than 70 cars along with 30 motorcycles/scooters participating in the autoshow. The autoshow competition was divided into 3 categories – Perodua, Proton and Open with 2-sub categories each with the sub-categories being Extreme and Modified. Winners (1st to 3rd) were presented with cash prizes, trophies, certificates, hampers and magazines. We at Extremekars would like to congratulate all the winners of the PLUS 2nd LINK Autoshow Fiesta 2007 and hope that this event will be even bigger in the future!
