The Super GT International Series Malaysia Race


The Super GT International Series Malaysia race, Round 4 of the 2007 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, recently took place at the Sepang International Circuit on the 24th June.

    More than 34,000 spectators were present to witness the amazing victory of the WOODONE ADVAN Clarion Z driven by the pair of Joao Paulo Lima De Oliveira and Seiji Ara who worked their way up from 14th position start. This victory had brought the Kondo Racing team their very first Super GT victory since entering the GT championship last year. Second across the finish line was the RAYBRIG NSX driven by the pair of Dominik Schwager and Shinya Hosokawa while third was the CALSONIC IMPUL Z driven by Benoit Treluyer and Kazuki Hoshino.

    Meanwhile, in the GT300 class, the Toyota apr MR-S driven by Kazuya Oshima and Hiroaki Ishiura won their second round of the season. Finishing second was the EBBRO 350R with drivers, Tetsuya Tanaka and Shinsuke Yamazaki while third was houzan DUNLOP Z driven by the pair of Kota Sasaki and Naoki Yokomizo. This year’s round was definitely one of the best rounds ever to be held here in Malaysia and hopefully we’ll be seeing even more action next year.
