Sepang DRAG BATTLE
It was simply amazing to be among the estimated 10,000 strong spectators for the second round
of the Sepang Drag Battle 2007 organized by Kelab Sukan Bermotor Litar Sepang (SCMC), which was
held on the 28th April 2007. The spectators’ turnout was said to be the highest to date and such
positive support from spectators would indeed contribute towards the growth of local motorsport.
For us at Extremekars, it was an exhilarating experience to be able to witness local top drivers
going against each other along the 402 metres straight…
The 2nd Round of the Sepang Drag Battle 2007 saw a greater number of competitors
for the drag event. This round also saw the introduction of a new race class into the series –
Class F (Advantech On The Road) for normal road car in addition to existing classes – Class A (Open)
Class B (Forced Induction 2-wheel) Class C (Naturally Aspirated 2-wheel) Class D (2-wheel limited
16oocc–1800cc) Class E (K-KAR).
It was indeed a successful drag event and we at Extremekars would like to
congratulate all the winners! See you all at the next round, which is scheduled to be held on the
16th June 2007.
