Honda Civic EG6 SIR-6/ Civic EJ9

Meet the fifth generation Civic EG6 SIR-S VTEC turbocharged from RS One Auto Parts. Many would be asking, what’s so special about this Civic EG6? Well, let’s start with the engine performance, shall we? According to the owner, this Civic EG6 is a ‘monster’ when it comes to engine performance. Why? Imagine that at present, the B18C Type-R engine is capable of producing 512hp! That amount of HPs would easily grab the attention of many performance enthusiasts.

   Let’s start by look at the details of mods done onto the engine. For your information, the original engine for the EG6 models is a 1595cc B16A DOHC VTEC engine capable of pumping out 168hp @ 7,800rpm but for this featured EG6 SiR-S, the B16A engine has been replaced with a bigger more capable B18C DOHC VTEC Type-R engine which powers the Integra Type-R models. This substitute 1797cc engine is known to be capable of producing approximately 195hp @ 7,000rpm in its standard form. Guess that’s not the case for this Civic EG6 SiR-S or SiR-II! No matter how powerful a stock engine may be, it’s still stock, right? Hmmm…
