Nissan Skyline 25GT-T

The Skyline line-up can be seen as one of the best ever to be produced by Nissan. There is no doubt that it has a huge number of followers all around the globe and is often regarded as a complete package combining highly attractive looks and superior performance. Yet not many are aware that it was first introduced 40 years back!

   Now we bring to you guys a Nissan Skyline 25GT-T from the ER34 based GT models. Now, before we go any further, we would like to inform you guys that this featured Skyline belongs to the ‘Big Boss’ of REDSUN, a renown performance car tuner outfit that is located in the Pandan Indah area. Hmmm… therefore we can expect quite an interesting mod story for this machine!

   For your information, the Skyline 25GT-T is powered by a 2.5-liter RB25DET NEO turbo I6 engine known to be able to produce approximately 280hp with a maximum torque of 343 Nm. This engine is said to be more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly but that’s history as at present the RB25DET engine had been replaced with a more powerful substitute engine, the twin-turbo I6 RB26DET engine. This newly fitted substitute engine is capable of producing approximately 332PS (although the claimed output is stated at only 280PS) with the maximum torque rated at 392Nm. Well, guess with the successful engine swap process, the performance upgrade for this Skyline is a confirmed matter yet it was simply not enough for the owner. That’s when things gets even more interesting!
