Mitsubishi Lancer Owner Club (MLOC) - Gymkhana Super Series 2010.

Organizing motorsport events seem to be gaining momentum amongst car club members, and the latest to join the fray is the Mitsubishi Lancer Owner Club. As passionate and devoted followers of the Lancer family, it has always been the dream of its members to have an event that could showcase the performance prowess of this make, which is already renowned for its capabilities in the motorsports arena.

To realize this, members from MLOC had recently organized the MLOC Gymkhana at A Farmosa Resort Melaka, the venue whereby members were given the opportunity to put to test both man and machine in a gymkhana course. The course saw a high speed entry into a double lane change and then into a 360° maneuver before entering slaloms, handbrake turns and more lane change.

For the competition each driver was allowed three official runs and any misdirection on the course would result in a null and void time. During the practice runs many participants were seen having difficulty in remembering the course lay out, but on the actual round, vast improvement could be seen, proving that practice does make perfect. Overall it truly was a course that was a challenge to most as many of them were considered a newbie in event such as this.

After this a small prize giving ceremony was held, after which some members stayed overnight to feast on for the barbeque dinner that was held later on that night.
