What is unique about the modification scene in Malaysia is that we usually use our daily driven car as our project car. If our Japanese and American friend would build a dedicated car for their modifications project, we usually uses our Proton, Honda, Toyota and Perodua to get to work and at the same time, use it for track days shoot out. Perhaps our “unique” taxation system which ensures a Hyundai would be sold at the same price as a Honda in other countries is one of the many reasons that restrict the majority of the Malaysian car buyers from purchasing another car solely for modification.
